This journal allows you to identify your behavioral patterns and modify them. You will work on written exercises that will help you grow mentally, physically, spiritually and financially.
This journal provides the opportunity to write freely and creatively. The illustration is geared towards the visual excitement of the young person to begin their journal/writing experience. This journal has blank line pages which allows that young person to express themselves however she deems fit.
WRITE LIKE A BLACK GIRLmovement is about encouraging brown girls to feel confident and empowered to tell their story through their lens, with their dilate and from their own perspective. Through journaling, we want to teach coping skills and learn techniques that will help identify healthy behavioral patterns and modify them to achieve personal and professional goals. We want to eliminate unhealthy generational behavioral patterns of keeping emotions bottled up. Yet instead, install tools that can be used to find motivation, gain ambition and tenacity to shatter the world with their voice; to show that they too hold a place in this world. Starting as young girls and transitioning into women can be difficult. We want to dismantle fears that stop them from chasing their dreams so they can create that life they envision happening. It’s time to learn how to have healthy dialogue and conversations with others; shutting down when adversity hits no longer should be an option. If there is no one she can talk to, she can talk to herself by putting it all in her journal and/or in a book and RELEASE.
